In mundane terms, I am a registered, clinically trained Medical Herbalist, with a background in teaching yoga. My path is one rooted in animism, ritual and nature re-connection. I work with astrology, dreams, intuitive nutrition and a holistic approach with equal parts physiology and mysticism. The body’s needs are deeply intimate and specific, we are each born with constitutional strengths and challenges, and recovering and maintaining health is a matter of coming back into balance. Along with our individual needs, there is also a bedrock of one shared need: community.

I am someone who has felt that they had to memorise the scripts of what is “normal”, to study from the periphery, in hopes of making connections in what sometimes feels like a foreign language. This has brought me to learning a broad vocabulary so that I can speak to the body and spirit directly: plants, planets, ritual; all as an act of devotion to connection.

I have 8+ years of experience and thousands of hours of training in herbalism, yoga and somatic therapeutics (read about my qualifications), but those who are drawn to this work are often not convinced by certifications alone but rather experiential proof - I invite you to try my free offering to see if we are a good fit to work together.

When you’re telling a story across a bustling dinner table and distractions have seeped in, eyes begin to wander and attention drifts…

I am the one who leans in, listens closely and wants to hear more.

When a moment of pride, curiosity and excitement sparks, and a tender beginning risks being snuffed out by fear…

I’m the one who fans the flame and calls others to notice, too.

When there is a moment of panic about the words spoken, when something is lost in translation between the heart and the mouth, and the body begins to close and tighten…

I’m the one who feels the intention beneath the words and does not turn away.

Feeling a longing for something that is difficult to name.

Familiar with the experience of overwhelm from a high level of sensitivity.

Ready to see pathology as a portal, not a final destination, and swap categorisation for curiosity.

A space holder, teacher, community leader or practitioner of any kind who feels the call to receive support and practise/lead in a sustainable way.

Astrology is a tapestry of wisdom as well as a diagnostic tool, which helps us determine the predisposition of the physical and emotional body. We unravel the potential of this energetic map together.

I weave together many methodologies to work with the microcosm and macrocosm “as above, so below”, matching plants and people, creating synergistic relationship between the medicine and the individual.

It is deeply important to me to maintain integrity in my role as a practitioner. What follows is an oath crafted of my heartfelt intent and a binding for upholding my values. This was gathered after a long period of reflection on what it actually means to practise with integrity.

  • I am not self-initiated into a specific lineage and I do not initiate others into any lineage: I guide and facilitate as a participant in co-creation, as a fellow seeker, and lead across terrain I have intimately travelled first hand.

  • I do not carry any self-appointed titles or status. I use the identifier “herbalist” in acknowledgement of the years of professional training required by law for me to be certified to practise herbal medicine.

  • I can not make, say or do anything I want: I am held accountable by more than just myself, I have teachers, peers and guides both in the physical and spirit worlds who I must answer to (read about my teachers).

  • I do not make content out of sacred spaces (ritual, ceremony, altars, medicine making, sacred sites): I collaborate with and offer to these places, not perform them for consumption.

  • I do not make medicine/practise in isolation: I am bound to patterns in the stars, governed by cycles of time, my own biological rhythms and energetic limitations.

  • I do not serve only myself: I do not force - I ask, I listen and I respond. If the timing is not right, or the answer is “no”, I do not compromise my integrity for compensation, contracts or expectations. This is the difficult reality of sacredness and being in right relationship.

  • I do not use artificial intelligence to write, curate or design any of my art. (Please support artists and protect the precious natural resources of the Earth, and our unique voices as humans).

  • I do not create false urgency by predicting or promising outcomes, forcing catharsis or creating problems so that I can be centred as the one to solve them. I do not foster dependence by undermining individual authority.

  • I participate in the ongoing development of the Nordic & Scandinavian animism perspective which unilaterally rejects racism, unambiguously distances itself from white nationalism, calls to direct activist involvement for indigenous empowerment movements, and never seeks to undermine them. Specifics can be found here and here.

  • My practice is a safe space for all, and it will be actively protected as such. This includes my queer, trans and non-binary friends.

“The earth is our origin and destination. The ancient rhythms of the earth have insinuated themselves into the rhythms of the human heart. The earth is not outside us; it is within: the clay from where the tree of the body grows.”

– John O’Donohue
